We are proud to announce some incredible news from one of our most vibrant associate members: Sistema Cyprus has been selected as one of the three winners of the Pompidou Group Prevention Prize 2025, awarded by the Pompidou Group of the Council of Europe, a prestigious recognition that honours projects making a real difference in prevention and social inclusion.
The international jury described Sistema Cyprus as “an inspiring and highly creative initiative” that that uses music as a universal and therapeutic tool to create safe and inclusive spaces for young people, including migrants, refugees, and youth with fewer opportunities.
An award that marks a significant milestone and a great honour for Cyprus, placing the country among Europe’s leading examples of innovation, prevention, and the power of the arts for social change and actively demonstrating how music and culture can build resilience, inclusion, and hope.
The official award ceremony will take place on 27 November 2025 in Strasbourg, during the Pompidou Group’s 19th Ministerial Conference, a high-level forum where European ministers meet to shape future prevention and drug policy strategies
