Friends and SEu members, if you are in London don't miss The Glenn Gould Prize announcement on March 20 at Kings Place with a free noon concert that will feature performances by pianist Ryan Wang, soprano Pumeza Matshikiza, and other brilliant guests!
The Glenn Gould Prize
Created by The Glenn Gould Foundation, The Glenn Gould Prize is awarded biennially to an individual for a unique lifetime contribution that has enriched the human condition through the arts and celebrates the uncommon achievements of each laureate as well as the singularity of Gould’s own creative spirit.
Just as the Nobel Prize has come to represent a universal symbol of excellence and achievement in science, economics, literature and statesmanship, The Glenn Gould Prize stands among the preeminent accolades conferred upon those working in the arts, communications, technology and humanitarian pursuits.
The 15th Glenn Gould Prize jury is composed of 12 accomplished figures from music, literature, dance, politics, law, media, visual arts, film, and human rights and proudly includes amongst its members The Right Honourable Kim Campbel as Jury Chair and the Academy Award-winning actor Jeremy Irons.
This distinguished jury will convene in London to deliberate and select the Glenn Gould Prize Laureate, with the announcement to be made on March 20 during a special noon concert at Kings Place in London.
